For the raw method: cover Irish moss with clean filtered water in a bowl and soak covered on the bench for 12-24 hours. As it soaks the seaweed will expand and turn into a gel. To make a firm gel you can slight warm it which allow it to activate further.

For the simmered method: Add 1 cup of Irish Moss pieces to 2 cups or less of clean filtered water for a firmer gel use less water. Bring to a slow gentle simmer for 30-40 minutes until the gel activated.

Note: never boil the gel as this will compromise the nutrient density of the Irish Moss gel.

Irish Moss can be used as a plant based thickening agent, gelatine substitute or as a vegan egg replacement in baking. Add to smoothies, raw treats such as 'cheesecakes' broths, soups and smoothies. Irish Moss is a cleansing and nourishing addition to any recipe.

Irish moss can also be used to thicken sauces, replace fat or oil in dressings, or to give a light, fluffy texture to frostings, dips, nut cheeses and deserts.


Country of origin: Grown in EU (Ireland or France). Packed in New Zealand.

Storage: Irish Moss is light sensitive and may lighten in colour when exposed to sunlight for extended periods of time. Store Irish Moss in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Seaweeds are hygroscopic so they absorb moisture from the air. Make sure to seal securely once opened.

Where we ship

We ship throughout New Zealand. Urban and rural, both islands, including Waiheke Island and Great Barrier Island.

We do not ship internationally at present. International delivery is planned. Join Stay IN the Know and you will hear first.

Delivery cost

Flat rate carbon neutral delivery is $9 anywhere in New Zealand.

Delivery is free on all New Zealand orders over $90. No code is required.

Delivery timeframes

Orders are dispatched promptly, usually the same or next business day. Estimated delivery once dispatched:

• Urban New Zealand: next business day
• Rural New Zealand: 1 to 3 business days
• Interisland and Great Barrier Island: 1 to 5 business days
• Waiheke Island: 2 to 3 business days

During peak periods or weather disruption, please allow up to 7 business days. If your order has not arrived after that, email hello@intentionallynatural.com and we will trace it with our courier partner.

Tracking your order

Once your order is dispatched you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking link. Tracking is also available in your account under order history.

Free 30 day returns

We offer free 30 day returns from the date your order is delivered.

To be eligible, items must be unused, unopened, in their original packaging and accompanied by proof of purchase.

How to start a return

Email hello@intentionallynatural.com with Product Return in the subject line. Include your order number and which item you are returning.

We will reply with a prepaid return label and instructions. Items sent back without arranging a return first cannot be accepted.

What cannot be returned

• Opened or used products
• Custom or personalised items
• Hazardous or flammable goods
• Gift cards

These exclusions exist for hygiene, safety and legal reasons. If you are unsure whether an item qualifies, email us before sending anything back.

Sale items

Sale items can be returned if they arrive damaged or faulty. They are not eligible for change of mind returns.

Damaged or incorrect items

Please inspect your order on arrival. If an item is damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, email hello@intentionallynatural.com with your order number and a photograph.

We will review it promptly and send a replacement or issue a refund, whichever you prefer.

Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges. The fastest route is to return the original item under our 30 day policy, then place a new order for what you would prefer.

Your refund is processed as soon as the return arrives with us.

Refunds

Once your return arrives and has been inspected, we will confirm approval. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Your bank may take additional time to post it. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, email hello@intentionallynatural.com.
